I’ve been a patient with Bridgetown Dental for 15 years. And I’ve really enjoyed my time here with Dr. Kaady and his wonderful staff. I keep coming back for the great care and the kindness that I receive. I feel really grateful to be receiving care from someone who sees me as a whole person and who takes into account all the facets of my life and what impacts my dental and wellness.

So I was raised in rural Alaska and I had really difficult experiences early on in my dental care and so I felt really grateful to find a practice who really supported me and gave me assurances, who communicated clearly the interventions and offered me choices. I think that’s been really empowering to know that I have choices in how I care for my teeth and at what pace I might take that on and that’s been really great as a patient.

The care I receive is really well-informed and pragmatic. And I can see the determination is made with a lot of consideration and I feel really cared for. I’m welcomed with enthusiasm and familiarity, which is really incredible considering I’m only here a handful of times a year and the front desk has always been the most warm and engaging welcome when I come here. And I feel really grateful to have creativity and scheduling that my husband and I can be scheduled on days together. That’s been a really meaningful thing.

I started…well, I was up in Bellevue, Washington, had the best dentist ever and we moved to Bend and had the best dentist there ever. But I moved to Vancouver and could not find a dentist anywhere. Every time I walked in, when I first look at that it’s just, like, “All right, this is…I’m not going to like this place.” And I see the dentist and they say, “Okay, you need to do all this stuff before we even clean your teeth.”

One of them was to get all my gum scraped and everything. I said, “Nope, I’m not going to do that.” And they actually wanted to make an appointment and I said, “Sure, I’ll do it at the front desk,” and I just walked out. Finally, found Dr. Kaady right away. Oksana was at the front desk there. The front desk was wonderful. The hygienists were wonderful. The assistants were wonderful. They made you feel comfortable all the time. And then Dr. Kaady went through all my teeth, said, “Okay, here’s what I’d like to do.”

He prioritized everything and didn’t make me feel like I had to do it all now. And it was just, like, “Okay, you’re good to go. Here’s your…” You know, I got my teeth cleaned. I got my list of things to do. And I think I’ve gone through that whole list now, but I didn’t feel pressured by anybody. And this whole office is just so warm and fuzzy all the time. They’re very friendly.

It’s so hard to find a dentist and an office. It’s not just the dentist. It starts at the front desk. And if you’re not comfortable there, it’s not going to be fun. But, yeah, it’s great. It’s just, it’s just very comfortable. And again, I hate going to the dentist, but he does a really good job of making me relax enough that I’ll come back.

I have always struggled with dental anxiety. It’s hard for me to go to the dentist. I take good care of my teeth, but I still feel really anxious sitting in the chair. When I come here, everybody is so friendly. They’re so kind. They make me feel at ease. I come into the office and I feel like I’m at home. Everybody knows me by name. They text me with my reminders, which is always really great.

And then I get in the chair and I like that they focus on my dental health as a whole. I don’t just come in for a cleaning, but we talk about so many other things going on that are part of my dental health. And that makes me feel a lot more at ease as well, knowing that we’re not just cleaning and then leaving, but I feel like we’re extensively looking at my whole mouth and making sure that I’m healthy.

I would absolutely refer Bridgetown Dental to anybody. I actually already do refer you guys to everybody that I talk to. When I have friends or family that mention that they are looking for a dentist, I highly recommend Bridgetown Dental because I know that they’ll be taken care of and that they’re going to be in great hands, that the staff is super friendly and welcoming.

I like Bridgetown Dental because Dr. Kaady is one of the coolest guys I know. We go to basketball games together. I come over, he does my teeth, he examines me, he treats me really, really nice. And I just love coming over here. It’s a fun place. What is most important to me is they’re always on time. Because I’m always rushing to get from one place to the next place.

They’re always here, they’re always happy, they’re ready to go. And they talk me through the process. They tell me what’s going to happen so I’m not, like, “What’s going on now?” Because they’ve already told me. They always let you know what’s going on. And they’re friendly, they’re kind, they’re warm, and they’re always on time.

He is one of the most gentle dentists I’ve ever worked with. He tells you what’s going to happen and he keeps talking about other things so he gets your mind off what’s going on. I come all the way to Bridgetown rather than going across the street from my dentist because I love hanging out with him. And I like coming over here because they’re going to take really good care of me.

James: From the moment you as the patient are greeted by reception and then you’re brought back, everybody is incredibly warm and friendly.

Mark: There’s a care that Bridgetown has that you feel…like we were just saying, family. Definitely part of the community and respects the community.

James: Fantastic. Impeccable bedside manner. That was another, just…you know, Mark’s started coming here before. I moved up here a few months after he did. And honestly, it had been, I had been negligent about going to a dentist for a number of years. Again, it’s like in the neighborhood. I never felt like there was this kind of lecturing, you know, “How dare you? Like, you clearly haven’t been to a dentist in years.”

It’s the…there is a caring. He clearly cares for his patients. No shame. And there’s no shaming or anything like that. You know, immediately looks to put people at ease. It could be…because let’s face it, going to a dentist for a lot of people can be a very scary proposition, especially if they’ve had a really bad experience. It’ll scare people off from ever going back. And, you know, Dr. Kaady is able to, not only is…his work and craftsmanship really good, he’s done two crowns for me. The work was fantastic.

Mark: Dr. Kaady is still a part of the community with other business owners talking, you know. So he’s not only a dentist, but he’s also a business that is wanting to stay and to make it better for the community. He’s the community leader.
